Help students (and yourself) gain more agency in the feedback process

Mila van Dorst & Claudia Tielemans

Feedback agency - the ability to influence your learning environment by the way you ask for, understand and use feedback - helps students learn more easily, effectively and enjoyably. In this workshop, you will slip into the role of student (teacher) and get to work with a practical tool that helps you ask for and understand feedback in an effective way. We make forays into recent literature on: asking for feedback by Renske de Kleijn (2023), feedback dialogues by Claudia Tielemans (2023), and internal feedback by David Nicol (2021). You will learn how to use these processes in your own teaching to give your students (and yourself) more feedback agency.
