Difficult situations in your seminar group: How do you deal with this?

Ivana Brasileiro Reis Pereira & Laura Koenders

As a teacher, you frequently encounter situations that are not always pleasant. Students arrive late, are unprepared, or make inappropriate comments about other students. How do you respond to these situations, and what impact does your response have on the group dynamic?

Drawing on the communication model by Wubbels and colleagues, this workshop equips you with tools to make deliberate and effective choices in these situations. By focusing on strategies for managing difficult interactions and fostering social safety, you'll learn how to reflect on your role toward a more constructive and supportive learning environment.
