From magic lantern to AI: what can we learn from techniques of the past?

Elzelien van Buuren

Join us on an inspiring journey through time! In this interactive workshop, we will take you from old AV equipment—such as slide projectors (for example the Epidiascoop) and vintage beamers—to today's modern technologies. We will show how past innovations have shaped education and what lessons we can learn from them.

But the journey does not stop in the past. Together, we explore the future: which current technologies and taken-for-granted practices in education might be gone in 5-10 years' time? What will take their place? We discuss how, as a university, we can be a foothold in times of disinformation and rapid technological developments. And what is your role in education now and in the future?

Whether you are a lecturer or staff member, junior or senior, your perspective is valuable!
